Oct. 8: Investment in Early Education and Child Care in Massachusetts
The COVID-19 pandemic confirmed that a robust early education and child-care sector is of paramount importance for our state’s economy and mobilized funders—including federal, state, and municipal governments, philanthropic organizations, and businesses—to increase investment in the sector. In the years since, unprecedented funding has been deployed to improve access, affordability, and quality of care and to strengthen the sector’s workforce. Now, the sector faces a pivotal question: What should be the unified strategy to optimize the use of this funding in a way that catapults the sector forward?
Please join the Boston Foundation, the Rennie Center for Education Research & Policy, Neighborhood Villages, and other experts to assess recent investments in early education and child care in Massachusetts and considering fundamental questions about the sector’s future.
