Apprenticeship Program

Supporting ECE Educators and Administrators through Apprenticeship

Neighborhood Villages operates a cost-free apprenticeship program that invests in early educators’ professional development and ongoing advancement in the field.

For new teachers looking to get their CDA.

For experienced teachers or current Administrators looking for training and support.

The Neighborhood Villages Apprenticeship programs include:

  • Two options: one for teachers working towards their CDA and one for aspiring Administrators

  • Non-cost pathway towards starting and advancing a career in Early Childhood

  • Instruction in English and Spanish

  • Training and stipends for mentors (1:1 ratio)

  • Comprehensive trainings for apprentices focused on practical skills needed to be an early educator

  • Wage bumps for hours accomplished

  • Industry Recognized credential

Congratulations to this year’s cohort and thank you to our sponsors!

Check out last year’s Launch Event, too!

“There is growing agreement on the need for more highly-skilled child care teachers and an increased awareness that teachers with higher credentials must be compensated for their efforts. ECE apprenticeships encourage the attainment of a credential/degree and provide the supports necessary for non-traditional adult learners to be successful.”
