Neighborhood Villages Distributes Over 240,000 Diapers Across Massachusetts

Earlier this month, we partnered with Los Angeles-based non-profit Baby2Baby to distribute over 240,000 diapers across Massachusetts!

This is part of Neighborhood Villages’ annual Winter Wonder Fest initiative, through which we raise funds and friends to distribute over 250,000 essential items and material goods to the more than 2,000 families served by our programs.

Operating out of four sites in Ashland, Boston, Stoughton, and Woburn, we provided free diapers to emergency shelters, child care programs, family and community engagement offices, Early Intervention programs, churches, and other organizations that support families and young children.

“Diapers are an essential need for children and families. Our distribution program with Baby2Baby spread like wildfire and is expected to go even further," said Alina Lopez Thomas, Senior Director of Early Education Supports at Neighborhood Villages.

By addressing the financial and logistical burdens associated with diapers, the initiative aimed to relieve stress for families and strengthen support systems for young children across the Commonwealth, ensuring no family faces barriers to essential care for their children.

This incredible experience allowed us to connect with many individuals who work with families and children each day, hear their stories, and support their important work in communities across the state.

Throughout the year, Neighborhood Villages partners with early childhood education programs serving vulnerable children and families to help them access the health services, wraparound supports, and material goods they need to thrive.

As a part of this work, we are hosting our 3rd annual Winter Wonder Fest on December 14th! We’ll be distributing winter essentials, baby products, books, and more. Learn more about how you can attend or support here!
